Chapitre 2- Theme: Qu’est-ce qui te plait ?
Students will be able to:
Ask about likes and dislikes, agree and disagree, ask how often you do an activity, ask how well you do something and to ask about preferences
Students will use:
Definite articles, -er verbs, irregular plurals, contractions with à, conjunctions, est-ce que…
Chapitre 3- Theme: Comment est ta famille ?
Students will be able to:
ask about and describe people, ask for and give opinions, identify family members, ask about someone’s family
Students will use:
The verb être, adjective agreement, more irregular adjectives, possessive adjectives, contractions with de, c’est vs. i/elle est
Chapitre 4, Theme: Mon année scholaire
Students will be able to:
ask about classes, ask others what they need and tell what they need, inquire about and buy something
Students will use:
adjective agreement, more irregular adjectives, possessive adjectives, ontractions with de, c’est vs. il/elle est, –ger , -re, and –cer verbs, le with days of the week, the verbs etre, preferer and acheter, agreement with numbers
Chapitre 5, Theme: Le temps libre
Students will be able to:
ask about interests , ask how often someone does an activity, extend, accept, and refuse an invitation, make plans
Students will use:
question words, adverbs, the verb aller and the future proche, the verb venir and the passé recent, idioms with avoir, inversion (page 312)
Chapitre 6, Theme: Bon appétit!
Students will be able to:
ask for, accept, and refuse food, inquire about food, place an order, ask about prices, pay the check
Students will use:
the partitive, –ir verbs, the verbs vouloir, prendre, faire, and boire, the imperative
Chapitre 7, Theme: On fait les magasins
Students will be able to:
ask for and offer help, make a decision, ask for, give permission, tell how often they do things
Students will use
demonstrative and interrogative adjectives, the verb mettre,the passé compose of –er verbs, the passé compose of irregular verbs, adverbs with the passé compose
Chapter 8, Theme: À la maison, chores, rooms in a home.
Students will learn several new –ir verbs, passé compose with “etre”
Chapter 9: the difference between Savoir and Connaitre, the verb voir
Chapter 10: Prepositions with cities, states, and countries
